The Verkehrsverbund Region Trier in the North-West of Rhineland-Palatinate

The VRT, which covers 553 municipalities and includes 2700 bus stops and 270 bus and train lines, is a public transport network in the Rhineland-Palatinate region located around Trier. It serves:

If you are a regular traveller, opt for a MobilTicket weekly, monthly or even annual subscription to enjoy the best prices. Single or day tickets are also available. The "4 FahrtenTicket", which offers you 4 tickets for only 6 €, is very attractive for short trips in the city of Trier. 

In the Saarland, the ticket price is determined by the number of zones crossed on one trip, in a system using ‘price steps’, or ‘Preisstufen’.  At the entrance of the bus, tell the driver what your destination is so that he can offer you the right ticket.
